Learning expression.

Ok i still have a painful wrist so bear with me....
I think fiasco may have been the wrong word but it's how i felt....

The books he is now on are ORT stage 2 fireflies, urgh. The last reading comment in the book was 'read really well, expressed and sounded out, slowed right down'. Can't get better than that. Something occurs to me; no one bothered to ask him to do it like this. He seems to do excatly what they ask; read this; make a face with these beans etc. so he does. He never offers more than that. I wonder if he realises he is different to other kids there, though he's never been that bothered with other kids. Or maybe he's just not that interested.

He read some more Frog and Toad, he reads a line of speach and then it said 'shouted Toad' and so he went back and read it loudly/more forcefully. Where it said 'he cried' he would go back and read it in a sad voice...that is how i would read it, i think that is what they are teaching him, a mean voice, a sad voice, a happy voice etc.

I am considering making this blog private - i just realised that anyone can read this and i'd rather certain people didn't.
